Tee Shirts

Over
the past several months the band has expressed a
general interest in producing a Tee Shirt that we
could wear under our summer uniform shirt that was
lighter and cooler then the short sleeve Henley shirt
and that we could also sell, at Emmitsburg for
example, to help raise money.
I received a phone call from Brian Brendel today about ordering Band Tee Shirts. His supplier can produce a tee shirt in hunter green with a full color band logo on the front breast and the motto of "Fire Fighting Irish" on the back in gold.

Fall Season Update

Just
a quick note to update all of you on the goings on
with the Northern Virginia Firefighters' Emerald
Society Pipe Band.
I want to thank all six of the pipers who came out on Saturday, 09/10/05 for the Arlington 9-11 5K race. Pete O'Brien did a nice job of organizing this event. Kevin Byrne, Ed Snyder, Phil Nannery, Karen Killmeyer and Jeff Burton all said they had a great time. If you weren't at practice on Monday, they still have a few long sleeve tee shirts from the event. See Kevin for one if you want one.
A reminder that this Saturday morning we are meeting at the Centreville High School on Union Mill Road (south of New Braddock Rd) at 09:00 for a 10:00 step off for the parade. If you haven't indicated that you are going to make it, please come out and join Odie, Ed, Pete, Gary, Kevin B., Jeff, Dana and Rob for a short stroll through C-ville. Also plan to hang around after the parade and join everyone over in the historic district of Centreville (in the area of Mt. Gilead Rd. and Whorton La.)
