Weekly Update - 12/16/05
Greetings All,

This will be a quick up date.  Just bullet points for the drummers.

We had a small practice on Monday.  Just Pete O'Brien, Dana Moore, Ethan Cochran and me.

Tomorrow night is the gig at Killroy's in Springfield.  The Killroy's is in the Ravensworth Shopping Center at the intersection of Braddock Rd and Port Royal Road.  This is just outside the beltway on Braddock Road (Rt-620).  As you come off the beltway on Braddock Rd. take the fist left on Port Royal Rd and the shopping center and Killroy's is on the right.

We are scheduled to play at 8:00 pm.  We will probably play two sets, one in the tent outside and one inside.  The sets we will play are as follows.
1st Set (Let Erin Remember, Bonnie Charlie, Minstrel Boy)
2nd Set (Kelly the Boy from Killane, Inniskilling Dragoons, Wearing of the Green)
3rd Set (Garry Owen, Back to Donegal, Killaloe)
5th Set (Wings, The Rowan Tree, Scotland the Brave)
6th Set (Retreats)
7th Set (Cockney Jocks, Bonnie Lass of Fyfie)
8th Set (Patriotic Set)
Also, Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Amazing Grace.

Since we play at 8:00 pm, try to be there ready to go no later than 7:30!

Uniform of the day will be kilts, tee shirts and ball caps (but bring your tunics anyway ... never know what it will be like in the tent)  If you don't have a Band Tee Shirt, Odie will have plenty there to issue you one and sell some to the customers.  Same with ball caps.)

One last item; I spoke with Chalmers Monday, he is doing well and thanks the band for all its support, but physically and emotionally.  The believe the problem was some medication he was taking.  They are doing some more test to make sure that everything is the way it should be now and he expects to be playing with us at the St. Patrick's Day parades.

See you tomorrow,
Steve

If the weather get's really bad, we'll do a phone tree call down.
