Welcome! The Northern Virginia Firefighters’ Emerald Society Pipe Band was formed 25 years ago. We honor the good works of the fire service, and the public safety sector,  through the stirring sounds of the bagpipes to honor public officers  who have given their lives in the line of duty. Throughout the year the band performs at numerous public events, festivals, funerals, and regional and community parades.
